東京・日比谷公園付近の路上に平日の無断駐輪自転車が増えた。真向かいの厚生労働省と環境省が入る合同庁舎で自転車通勤が禁止されたのが発端らしい。

数十人の職員が来訪者駐輪場を使っていたが、「狭くて来訪者が利用できない」と禁止に。それでも、環境や健康を意識してか自転車通勤を続ける職員がいる。

「幹部の公用車を減らし、駐車場を職員向け駐輪場にして」との要望も上がったが、却下。自転車支持派の職員は「メタボや温暖化対策を受け持つ役所なのに」。
